With deep sorrow and regret I must write this announcement, God has called another one home from the battlefield. On June 8th, 2010 Roslyn Catherine Brown, my mother, was called home. She was a very devoted mother and servant of the most high God, she was also a prayer warrior who you could always rely on to stand in the gap for someone else's needs. She successfully raised four sons and three daughters with the help of God. My mother was a strong willed and determined woman of God who always put Christ first in her life, she was one you could count on in all areas. I would sincerely like to thank the Lord for giving me such a wonderful mother.  

So the saying is true that you can do all things through christ that strenghthens you!!! I had the priveledge of going to Augusta, Georgia and preaching my mothers funeral. I know that if it had not been for the Lord strenghtening me that I would never have been able to stand and complete this task, but for this I give him all the Praise and Glory. No matter how many tragedies come my way the Lord is always there to lift me up and get me going again and I am truly grateful to my Heavenly Father. I could never repay him for the many things that he has done and continues to do in my life. Let us all remeber we have hope and faith in Jesus, and like his word says in Hebrews 13:5 he will never leave thee or forsaken thee, and in our time of weakness he is always there.

Whether it be raising children, keeping the house in order or helping encouraging us all to draw closer to that path of righteouness. May the Lord continue to help us all in a world that has lost hope, and help us to find the hope that is in Jesus Christ. Good day and God bless you all. Let us make a joyful noise unto the Lord for this is the day that the Lord has made and we should be glad and rejoice in it. I want to share with my church family the latest news from the Word of Christ Ministries. As I sit to type this message my eyes fill with happiness, I am a grandfather. My first and only grandbaby was born on March 2, 2010. Her name is Mya Anne Graham and she is completely healthy and a complete handful might I add. She is truly a blessing and everyday i see her I am reminded of the remarkable things my Lord is capable of doing.

As a further reminder I had the pleasure to spend two weeks in Rayville, La. at a Holy Ghost revival at Brother and Sister Johnson's church, New Life Tabernacle. While there I was given the opportunity to preach with my mentor Brother Bobby Carter where God moved remarkably during the service. It is a true pleasure evangelising and spreading the word of God thru revivals and other times I get to speak. I look forward to preaching the articles of Christ all over the country sharing the mighty word of my Father.

I would like to take some time to thank all those supporters of Word of Christ that have visited the site. We appreciate your support and may the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to be with you.

This is the day that the Lord has made, and this is a new year that he has allowed all of us to see. With this new year we all need to seek the salvation of the Lord, and it can begin with prayer. Look into the word at, Phillipeans 4:19, put this in your heart and your belief that the word of God will remain forever. And the bible says my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and His glory by Christ Jesus. If you believe and stand on your faith you don't need to worry about anything. Just like He holds His word He will supply all your needs. He will make sure that you won't lack for anything. The bible also says in  Hebrew 13:5 He will never leave thee nor forsaken thee. Hold onto your faith this year like the word of Christ is holding onto their faith. That the will of God maybe done and not ours. May the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philipeans 4:7). The Word of Christ Ministries sends a special blessing to each and everyone of you for this new year and all that you all have done.

God bless everyone!! The year 2009 has been a tough year for my family and I. It began in January when our home caught fire and was burned out. In April I, Elder Mark Thompson, had surgery. On July 23, 2009 my older brother, David Thompson, went home to be with the Lord. Next on August 6, 2009, my wife, Debra Thompson also went home to be with the Father. Now, I must regretfully announce the passing of my niece, Shawnikki Woodruff, on November 19, 2009. Inspite of all the things that have happened over the last year, we still continue to give God glory, praise and honor. Though it was not easy and at times I felt like Job we remain vested in the Lord, and continue to give Him all He deserves. By keeping this constant faith I am proud to announce that we are back in our home, I watched my oldest daughter get married and I am expecting my first grandchild in March. I want to encourage all of God's children to continue to follow the Lord no matter how rocky the road may get. In closing, Word of Christ Ministries has continued praying for God's people, preaching the gospel and standing firm in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. AMEN!

We regret to inform you that on July 23,2009 . I received a phone call at 1:00 am informing me of the passing of my brotherI.I went to Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa to confirm the phone call.  David had just begun on his journey of seeking the Lord, Sunrise 09-15-54  Sunset 07-23-09.  He will be surely missed by relatives and friends, on July 30,2009 his going Home Celebration was preached by his brother Elder Mark H .Thompson.
Unfortunately, I  have a bit more of bad news GLORY TO GOD! That First Lady Debra Ann Thompson of Word of Christ Ministries has went home to be with the Lord on 08-06-09.  The last time that  we had the wonderful opportunity  to minister together was at Pastor Kenny Johnston's church in Rayville, Louisiana.  She struggled while in a lot of pain, up and down the highways she could barely walk in and out  the of restrooms taking baby steps.  I had her oxygen tank on my shoulder and she was wearing a breathing mask , and she would say that SHE COULD DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST THAT STRENGTHENS HER.  Even in pain she was most happy when she was doing something for the Lord, she was determined to do God's will.  We were married for 27 years we have two beautiful daughters Mendy & Ciani.

PRAISE THE LORD EVERY ONE.we are  just returning from revival and the spirit of the LORD was moving.Our first stop was Dahlonega GA. With brother sister wilabanks we had a wonderful time.we move on to holy ridge la and their began a 5 day revival.the spirit of the lord was moveing and we had a holy ghost good time with brother sister kenny and deborah johnston.and then we move on to  brother roger temple church in dellhi la.and then we went to rayville la to sister day church.are last stop was columbus oh.were we blessed our neices home.before returning to philadelphia.WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE PASTORS FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY.AND OPENING DOORS FOR US TO PREACH GOSPEL OF PEACE.WE LOVE YOU ALL IN THE NAME OF JESUS OUR LORD AMEN.LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT REVIVAL.BROTHER MARK AND FAMILY THANK YOU ALL AMEN.

The Lord is my light and my salvation ; whom shall I fear ? the  LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall  I be afraid?  When the wicked ,even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh , they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me,my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after : that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to eilnquire in his temple,For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion :in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock..And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifces of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises  unto th  (PSALM 27 1;6 

  I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. The Lord is thy shade unpon thy right hand.The sun shall not smite theeby day, nor the moon by night.The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul.  The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in  from this time forth, and even forevermore.   (Psalm 121 )  Let this be an encouragement to all Gods people AMEN.
